Breighton Airfield is the home of the Real Aeroplane Company. Its the base for a great living GA museum as well as home to a hurricane (flying) and some true exotica. Its also a real GA airfield, with real aeroplanes, and really nice people. They also serve a rather nice line in sticky buns.

I am very much treading in the shoes of the A1 group here. I hope they don't mind but it needed updating a bit.

The airport is built to reflect the layout in the getmapping photos however, it is being extended back along 11 to the bounday with the road and also widened to the left of 11. A bit like Bagby and Eddsfield, extensions and additional runways will be added in time but at least this gives you a flavour.

What, from watching, seems to be the local speciality is low sweeping turn to finals very short on 11 with hardly a baseleg at all. Not as easy as it looks - too much blue screen of death.

They have a website and they are truely worth a visit (£3) if you are in the area.
